Project: Installation of Warehouse cooling and heating for storage of Lindt chocolate products.
Site: Lenham Storage, Kent
Job: Supply and installation of eleven dual circuit up-flow units connected to fabric distribution ductwork. The fabric distribution ducts run at high level throughout the warehouses, maintaining an even design temperature of between 14-16C.
The total combined cooling capacity of all 11 systems is almost 1000Kw.
Control: Each Air Handling unit is individually controlled, and connected to a central BMS system for remote temperature monitoring. A panel was also installed for remote alarm monitoring.
Fresh air: Fresh air is introduced to each Air Handling Unit in order to create a small positive pressure within the warehouses.
Please note that this project was showcased within the September 2006 edition of HVR magazine.
